About OpenSea

We love music,
We love film.

OpenSea is the culmination of two musicians, one an entertainment lawyer, one a web guy and our passion for music and film.

As musicians and music lovers we understand the important role that music plays in creating interest, drawing emotion and connecting people within film and media productions. We aim to promote the true value of music and to provide a high quality catalogue for visual media creators to license easily.

Moira McKenzie Legal/Business Affairs/Co-founder

Moira manages all our artist agreements and handles the licensing arrangements between our clients and artists.

In her role as Senior Associate at Sanicki Lawyers Moira acts for some of Australia’s best known artists across the music industry as well as band managers, publishers, indie record labels, producers, music festivals, and music start-ups.

Moira has built a strong presence in the Australian music industry over a number of years, not only as a lawyer but also as a performing musician and working for independent label/distributor Vitamin Records and Mullum Music Festival. She's also been on the Board of Music Victoria and volunteers her time as a pro-bono lawyer for Arts Law Centre of Australia, The Push, Bigsound and Face the Music.

Matthew McIntyre Director/Co-founder

As the creative, technical, marketing, 'whatever else' side of OpenSea, Matt is wearing many hats. He’s managing day-to-day operations, talking to artists, providing technical support, all the while thinking about what’s next for OpenSea and working to make the service as good as it can be.

Matt has designed and built websites for Melbourne Recital Centre, National Gallery of Victoria, Australian Centre for the Moving Image, Climate Council, Headspace, Cotton On, Melbourne Fashion Festival, World Vision, and WorkSafe Victoria amongst others.

With an education in film and a music composer from a young age, Matt has been involved in the production of films and music videos over the years as a writer, director and composer.
